Book one:
Farmwives in Profile:
17 Women, 17 Candid Questions about their Lives, Photos & Recipes
(Published: January 2016)
Short documentary on Billi J. Miller and her Farmwives Book Project - filmed by Storyhive.
Title: "In Honour of Farmwives"
17 Women, 17 Candid Questions About their Lives, Photos & Recipes is the labour-of-love and debut book of Billi J Miller capturing candid interviews, delicious straight-from-the-farm-kitchen recipes and timeless photographs of seventeen traditional farmwives from the Canadian Prairies. The women from her home community in east-central Alberta were all between the ages of fifty-five and ninety. This widely-celebrated book shines a light on what Miller calls the too often overlooked contributions of farmwives who she says have been pillars holding up Canadian family farms. This beautiful project also contains stories by the women's grown children on the impact their mothers have had on their lives. Worth it's weight in gold for just the recipes alone, this project is available through all major online retailers and through select partner small retailers also.

Book two:
Farmwives 2:
An Inspiring Look at the Lives of the New Canadian Farmwives
(Published January 2018)
The highly-anticipated follow-up of her first book, this second part of the two-book series gives the "next generations" a turn. Farmwives 2 hones in on women in their twenties to fifties. This time, Miller interviews women from across the country - from British Columbia to Newfoundland - broadening not only the look at Canada's family farms but, women's perspectives on this evolving role.
Miller includes the same format of interviews, photographs and recipes, but it also includes input from a lawyer, farm family coach and financial planner that is quickly declaring it the "bible" to which all living on a farm should read.

Farm Kids
Stories from Our Lives
(Available Dec 10, 2022)
Meals in the field, combine rides with Grandad, picking fresh berries out of the garden and building forts in the bales.
In this next book project celebrating farm life, Billi J. Miller examines what farm life is like -- through the eyes of children. Only not just interviewing "today's" children - this touching book delves into what it looked like to be a farm kid through the ages. Starting with her husband's 100-year-old grandmother, Miller asks what her days looked like when she came home from school, her memories of her mom, and what she did most on weekends.
Peppered with the hilarity and frank honesty only present-day "kids" can master, this book is filled with stories that will enlighten you, warm your heart, and make you laugh out loud.
Sure to satisfy even the urban reader, "Farm Kids: Stories from Our Lives" teaches through story and a special chapter of "What we want you to know." Miller captured the thoughts of hundreds of farmers on what they wish non-farmers knew about them.
