I'm an author, freelance writer, photographer and speaker living on the Canadian Prairies—and I've always been curious about people.

I believe there are fascinating people living in every tiny town in this country.

I believe ordinary people are almost never ordinary once you know their story.

​

I believe we need to ask our elders more questions while they're still here to answer them.

​

And I believe some of the best stories are the ones that happen quietly around us every day.

Those are the kinds of stories I want to send you.

Every once in a while, I'll show up in your inbox with something I've written, someone fascinating I've met, a photograph or story I can't stop thinking about, or a little piece of my own life that feels worth sharing.

There'll probably be some rural life. Some travel. Some stories about my family. And some behind-the-scenes glimpses of my writing, photography and speaking work.

But mostly, I'll share the people, places and stories I can't stop thinking about.
